The fare at the Longhorn Steak House "fared" well in the opinion of the 5Star Dinner Club. With upscale western decor, the restaurant is inviting and offered a quiet, relaxing dining experience. Our waitress--in fact, all employees, including the manager--were helpful and friendly. From a broad menu selection, we ordered orange glazed trout, parmesan-encrusted chicken, a sirloin steak, a filet, and a chicken sandwich. The food was all excellent. The filet was slightly overcooked, but we did order it medium well. One member was really impressed with the freshness of the salad and the large serving size. All in all it was hard to find much wrong with the Steakhouse, but we can't bring ourselves to give any place 5 stars. We keep hoping for an out of this world experience. The Longhorn Steakhouse rated 4.25 stars. Still our highest rating yet.
