Interurban, 6100 W. Memorial Road -April 9, 2010

IrmasThe 5Star Dinner Club visited a comfortable old favorite, Interurban, on a windy April evening. I use the term, "evening" loosely as the Dinner Club members are getting on in age, and we are all home in comfy pj's before sunset. Maybe, that's why the quiet atmosphere at the Interurban appealed to us. We could talk and actually hear each other.

Our first reviewer said the menu presented a nice variety, the food was hot and tasty and served in a timely manner. He gave the place 4 stars. The next reviewer, however, had made a trip to the bathroom prior to dinner. It wasn't clean and smelled like motel air freshener, she said, as she returned to the table. First impressions! She is also our toughest server critic and in a stroke of good fortune, we got a trainee waitress. She was cute but not all there. Even though the food was good, the first impressions weighed heavy on her rating of 2.5 stars. The others were more neutral. Pasta, chicken salad, and chicken sandwiches were good--except for the cubed chicken on the chicken salad. All in all, the place got an average of 3 stars--which means we would recommend it to others. Just don't go to the bathroom.
