When I first heard of social networks, I imaged myself and a few friends and family, chatting quietly, our drink of choice in hand, perusing the ever changing vista, from the tranquility of the upper deck of a cruise ship.

Nice dream!! I resisted joining myspace, but I created a Facebook account because I got an invitation from my niece to view her latest photos and be her "friend". How could I resist? Before I knew it, I had friends from Istanbul to Prince Edward Island. They were all sending "twitter-like" messages about going to the grocery store, listening to "smash-mouth", and texting the person sitting next to them. I was invited to have an online food fight, check out my IQ, and create a cartoon of myself sitting between Obama and Madonna. It was absolute c-h-a-o-s!

So, here I am, in search of peace of mind, intelligent conversation, and a little whimsy. The site will be evolving. Right now, it's all about moi. Well, what did you expect?
